CONFIGURING SETTINGS FOR AN ON-DEMAND SCAN TASK
For on-demand scanning tasks, you must specify:
the types of objects to be scanned
the scan scope specified as a colon-delimited list of paths to the objects
to scan
the actions that will be applied to infected objects when they are detected
any additional parameters, such as whether to use the heuristic analyzer,
the iChecker technology, the extended anti-virus database or whether
to launch the new task as a full computer scan task.
CONFIGURING SETTINGS FOR AN ANTI-VIRUS DATABASE UPDATE TASK
For the anti-virus database update task, you must specify:
the source to download updates from. You can use the update servers of
Kaspersky Lab or specify a user-defined source.
whether passive FTP mode is required
the connection timeout (in seconds).
You can enable / disable using a proxy server and configure its settings in the
dialog that opens after clicking the Configure proxy server.
Step 4. Setting up a schedule
In the Task schedule window, you can configure a schedule that will be used to
run the task.
In the Schedule drop-down list, select the type of schedule for the task. The
central part of the window, containing data entry fields, will change its
appearance in response to your selection.

Step 5. Finishing creating a task
The last window of the wizard will inform you that you have successfully creating
a task.
