ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
ABOUT THE APPLICATION
This Appendix contains the description of the folder tree of the Kaspersky Anti-
Virus after the installation, configuration file and the modifiers of the command
line of the components and their return codes; script file for disinfecting archives
is provided as an example.
A.1. Kaspersky Anti-Virus
configuration file
The Kaspersky Anti-Virus package includes the kav4fs.conf configuration file
that contains the settings for the application's operation. This section contains a
detailed discussion of each section of the file settings. In the description of the
file settings default values will be indicated, if such default values are provided.
Section [path] includes settings that define paths to most important files without
which the application will not function.
BasesPath– full path to the anti-virus database.
LicensePath– full path to the folder that contains the license keys.
IcheckerDbFile– full path to the folder that stores the database checked using
the iChecker technologies.
Section [locale] contains settings that determine the date and time formats:
TimeFormat=%H:%M:%S – time display format according to the strftime stan-
dard.
DateFormat=%d/%m/%y – date display format according to the strftime stan-
dard.
You can change the time display format to the twelve-hour for-
mat (am, pm): %I:%M:%S %P
You can change the date display format, for example, to the
following: %y/%m/%d or %m/%d/%y.
