Troubleshooting

your system does not start properly

The system doesn't power on.
Make sure...
The system's power cord is properly
connected.
There is a buzzing noise.
A beep code when the system starts up means that there is a configuration problem. Many of the
e-buzzer codes relate to the LED diagnostic codes. See section "Using the LEDs and e-buzzer to
Troubleshoot Your System."
Make sure...
You identify the error message correctly.
If you still have a problem, see "Software Diagnostics Tools" on page 2-13.

Connect the power cord to a working power
outlet and to the rear of the system.

Count the number of beeps after the buzzer (see
