Starting to Dictate
Dragon NaturallySpeaking Log Files, samples, and tools
You can view the NaturallySpeaking log file (dragon.log), the Dragon
NaturallySpeaking setup files, and samples of structured commands from the
Windows Start menu.
To view the:
NaturallySpeaking log file (dragon.log), select Programs>Dragon
NaturallySpeaking 8.0>Show Dragon Log from the Start menu.
NaturallySpeaking setup files (dgnsetup.log), select Programs>Dragon
NaturallySpeaking 8.0>Show Setup Log from the Start menu.
Samples of structured commands, select Programs>Dragon NaturallySpeaking
8.0>Sample Commands from the Start menu. Professional editions only.
Tools, select Programs>Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8.0>Dragon
NaturallySpeaking Tools from the Start menu. Professional editions only.
Note: If you are upgrading from NaturallySpeaking V6 or V7.0 to NaturallySpeaking V8 the upgrade
initially creates a dragon.log file in same location as the relocated \Data and \Users directories (see the
locations describe in "" on page ). This initial dragon.log is a log of the upgrade from V6 ot V7.0 to V8.
Once you start using NaturallySpeaking V8, the dragon.log is maintained as described in the
"Changed file locations" section and can be viewed using the new Dragon NaturallySpeaking Tools
start menu choice.
