2. Emphasis
The Compressor allows you to specify which end of the aural
spectrum you wish to compress. Select "Hi" if you would like
to emphasise the treble in your tone to get that real twang and
to compress the bass. This is useful for tight funky low note
riffs with stabbing bright chords. Turning toward 'Lo' gives
maximum treble compression and hence a 'Lo' emphasis.
3. Volume
Controls the volume of the pedal, allowing you to set the pedal
for a boost or a drop in volume when in operation, should you
so wish.
4. DC Input
For input of a 9V DC adaptor (as previously described) should
you not wish to use batteries.
5. LED
Indicates when The Compressor is in operation.
6. Attack
This dictates how quickly compression comes in after pick
attack. With this set at minimum you will get a rounder more
spongy tone. As you increase the Attack the sound will get
sharper and more metallic, which is ideally suited for funky
styles.
7. Compression
This adjusts the amount of compression. The more you add
compression, the more you iron out the peaks and troughs in
your sound. This increases the amount of sustain and makes
for a smoother guitar tone.
8. In Jack
This is the input jack, for connection to your guitar or to
another effects pedal.
9. Foot Switch
For switching The Compressor on and off.
