Chapter 3: Print Operation (Fiery Controller)

Update the device information

After completing installation of the printer driver, it is recommended to update the device infor-
mation on the driver.
• Without updating the device information, the corresponded functions of the device
cannot be used.
• This section describes in the case of Windows Vista. For the other operation sys-
tems, refer to the guide of the operation system respectively.
1.
Select [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Printers].
2.
Right-click the printer icon you want to set, select [Proper-
ties].
3.
Select [Installable option] tab.
4.
Click [Two-Way Communication] check box.
5.
Enter the IP address or DNS name of the controller to
[Printer IP Address or DNS Name].
6.
Click [Update Fiery When Opened] check box.
This option enables to get main body information when this printer
●
driver is opened. If it fails to get information, confirm the network
settings.
7.
Click [OK] to close the Properties window.
