    SITE SELECTION AND PREPARATION This section provides instructions for selecting a location and preparing the site to install the fireplace into your Dimplex mantel surround. 1. Select a suitable location. 2. For ease of electrical hook up you may wish to locate the fireplace near an existing outlet.

    FIREPLACE INSTALLATION Dimplex Mantel Surround Kit 1. Install the fireplace assembly only into the Dimplex outdoor mantel. (refer to mantel assembly instructions) 2. Select a suitable location that is level and away from high traffic New Wall Construction NOTE: This unit must be removable from opening.

    OPERATION ELECTRIC FIREPLACE MANUAL CONTROL The manual controls for the firebox are located in the upper right hand corner behind the access panel. To access the controls, open the upper access panel by pulling forward and down. To locate controls refer to Figure 3. NOTE: The main on/off switch/flame action and flame brightness controls are always illuminated as long as the unit is plugged in.

    COVERING YOUR DIMPLEX OUTDOOR FIREPLACE When not in use, cover your Dimplex outdoor fireplace with a weather resistant covering. The cover will help protect your fireplace from detrimental effects of weather and environmental pollutions.

    Products covered by this limited warranty have been tested and inspected prior to shipment and, subject to the provisions of this warranty, Dimplex warrants such products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of the first purchase of such product.
  • Page 10 Dimplex will in its sole discretion either repair or replace such defective product or part without charge. If Dimplex is unable to repair or replace such product or part, or if repair or replacement is not commercially practicable or cannot be timely made, Dimplex may, in lieu of repair or replacement, choose to refund the purchase price for such product or part.
