Auditing iManager Events

Use Novell
Audit for auditing iManager events. For more information, see the

Novell Audit has the following prerequisites:
®
A server (NetWare
2.0.x.
Novell Audit Platform Agent installed on the iManager server or iManager Workstation
desktop and configured to point to the Secure Logging Server.
Novell Audit captures data about the following events:
Added authorized user
Successful login
Successful NPM install
Startup iManager
Failed SSL connection
Logout
Changed configuration
Failed login
Failed NPM install
Shutdown iManager
The
file which contains this data is distributed under
IMAN_EN.LSC
installed via the Novell Audit process. It can also be installed manually by using the Novell Audit
iManager plug-in as described in the following section.

9.1 Installing the IMAN_EN.LSC File in iManager

Install Novell Audit before you install the
1 Log in to iManager.
2 Click Roles and Tasks -> Auditing and Logging -> Logging Server Options.
3 Browse to and select the Logging Server object, then click OK.
4 Click Log Applications -> Applications.
5 Click the Applications Actions link, then click New.
6 Click OK to create a new Log Application in the container.
7 Specify a Log Application name.
8 To import the
IMAN _EN.LSC
TOMCAT_HOME\webapps\nps\support\audit
The new log application should now appear under the Applications container.
