    Section 2: Preliminary Steps 1. Disconnect the preamp from power and from your system. 2. Remove the 11 screws that hold the cover in place. Remove the cover. 3. Remove the balance, bass, treble, and volume knobs. They sit on splined shafts, and just pull off.

    Figure 1-Installing and wiring the quarter inch jack Section 3: Final steps Re-install the tone volume board. Re-connect the 10-pin control cable if you removed it earlier. 1. Insert the controls through the front panel. Fasten the tone-volume board back in place using the two 4-40 keps nuts at the back of the PCB.
