    Preparation for RV Mounting—270-degree Configuration All screws supporting the awning assembly must have a backer within the structure of the wall of the unit. Refer to the unit's manufacturer for proper location of backer material. Recreational Vehicle (RV)—Left Hand (LH) - Roadside Use a tape measure, carpenter's square and non-permanent marker to make mounting lines (Fig.

With all the awning arms in their stowed position (Fig. 3), tilt the assembled mounting rail outward so its top hanging hook on the backside of the rail can be placed over the top latching rail of each mounting bracket (Fig.
  • Page 6 Lower the assembled mounting rail to engage its top rail hook with each top bracket latch (Fig. 4A). Lower the assembled mounting rail then push in on the assembly at each mounting bracket location until a clicking sound is heard. The clicking sound signifies the bottom rail hook has engaged with the bottom bracket latch (Fig.
  • Page 7 Gently lift up, down and outward to ensure the assembled mounting rail is fully engaged with the mounting brackets. Make sure the right end of the mounting rail is even with the outside edge of the right side mounting bracket. If necessary, use a wooden mallet or plastic-headed hammer to tap the frame assembly in-place.

    Preparation for RV Mounting—180-degree Configuration NOTE: The preparation procedure for the 180-degree 7000 Series Awing is the same for either roadside or curbside of the unit. All screws supporting the awning assembly must have a backer within the structure of the wall of the unit. Refer to the unit's manufacturer for proper location of backer material.

    Installation for RV Mounting—180-degree Configuration NOTE: The installation procedure for the 180-degree 7000 Series Awing is the same for either roadside or curbside of the unit. Recreational Vehicle (RV)—Roadside Attach the two mounting brackets to the RV roadside wall: Align the top and right sides of the 4" hinge assembly mounting bracket (Fig. 21A) with the previously drawn horizontal and vertical lines.

  • Page 19 Secure the two mounting brackets (Fig. 24A) with a 1/4” diameter hex washer head screw (Fig. 24B) (OEM-supplied) into each mounting bracket’s bottom mounting hole. Gently lift up, down and outward to ensure the assembled mounting rail is fully engaged with the mounting pads.
  • Page 20 Install the two quick release (QR) pin brackets. NOTE: The protective bag and awning fabric are not shown in some images for clarity. Swing out the awning arms part way to loosen the fabric then swing the right side bottom arm (Fig. 25A) to the RV’s roadside wall.

Disengage the left side QR ring pin from the left awning arm ring pin bracket (Fig. 32).     Post-installation Check Make sure all awning mounting bracket fasteners are secure. Make sure no material is protruding from the protective bag. Make sure protective bag is fully zipped closed. Fully open the awning. Unzip the awning protective bag. Secure the bottom left and right awning arms to the walls with the quick release (QR) ring pins. With the awning fully open, make sure each awning pocket fits properly over their respective awning support arms.
