This product is to be used only for shade, not for sheltering from bad weather. To prevent damage to the awning, close the awning in bad weather including high winds and heavy rain or snow.
  • Page 4 Remove brackets from the awning and place the outer brackets on the unit. Make sure the brackets are level with each other and then mark the locations for the bracket's lag bolts based on the measurement. NOTE: The bottom of the wall brackets must be at least 10' 2" (3 m 100 cm) above the ground. NOTE: A spacer may be used to ensure the brackets are level under the unit's top rail.

    Awning Flap Installation Fig. 4 NOTE: Install the flap before the awning installation. Be sure flap channel (Fig. 4B) is clear of any debris. Insert the bulb side of the flap (Fig. 4A) into the channel. NOTE: Starting on either end is acceptable. Feed the flap completely through the channel to the opposite end.

    Wiring Diagrams NOTE: Awnings are manufactured with wiring on both arms to permit either a right-hand or left-hand installation. NOTE: The larger 18 gauge red/black wire coming out of the control box is the incoming power. The smaller 22 gauge red/black wire is the LED outgoing power.

    Programming the Motion Sensor NOTE: All electronic kits shipped from the factory are preprogrammed and do not require programming. This section is intended for reprogramming if required. Remove the two small Phillips screws which secure the motion sensor to the awning (Fig. 11). Turn sensor over.

    Operation Use the switches to open and close the awning and to turn on and turn off the LED lights. NOTE: To prevent possible injury when opening awning, stand to the side of the awning, not in front of it. Manual Operation If the motor doesn't work, the awning can be closed manually.
