Two examples of generating indexes using the
Windows batch file (you need to run the script from the
..\bin\slapd\admin\bin\perl
..\bin\slapd\admin\bin\perl db2index.pl -D "cn=Directory Manager"
-w password -n ExampleServer -t sn
UNIX shell script:
db2index.pl -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w passsword
-n ExampleServer -t sn

Creating Browsing Indexes From the Server
Console
To create a browsing index using the Directory Server Console:
On the Directory Server Console, select the Directory tab.

Select the entry for which you want to create the index in the left navigation
