Blending filter effects
The Fade command fades the effect of a filter,
painting tool, or color adjustment. You choose a
blending opacity and a mode to determine how
pixels are modified. The blending modes available
are a subset of those in the painting and editing
tools Options palette (excluding the Behind and
Clear modes). (See Chapter 6, "Making Color and
Tonal Adjustments" for more on color adjustment
commands.)
Applying the Fade command is similar to applying
the filter effect on a separate layer and then using
the layer opacity and blending mode controls. (See
"Using adjustment layers" on page 281.)
Note: The Fade command can also be applied to
Brush Strokes filters and any other painting tool.
