Windshield Wiper / Washer Lever

Caution!
Danger of injury when the windshield wiper
operates unintentionally.
Risk of damage to the windshield and wiper
system.
f Avoid running the wiper blade over a dry wind-
shield to prevent scratching the glass. Spray
washer fluid on the windshield first.
A scratched windshield will reduce visibility.
f Always loosen wiper blade from frozen glass
before operating the wiper to prevent damage
to the wiper motor or blade.

f Always switch off windshield wiper before
cleaning the windshield to avoid unintentional
operation (intermittent operation).
f Do not operate headlight washer when it is
frozen.
0 – Windshield wiper off
1 – Windshield wiper slow
2 – Windshield wiper fast
3 – Intermittent operation
4 – Windshield washer system:
Sprays while the lever is pulled towards the
steering wheel in the first position.
When the lever is released, a few drying
wipes are executed.
5 – Windshield wiper and washer system:
Sprays and wipes while the lever is pulled to-
wards the steering wheel in the second posi-
tion.
6 – Headlight washer
Sprays only while low beam or high beam is
switched on.
The spray duration is limited. If heavily soiled,
repeat wash.
Persistent dirt (e.g. insect remains) should
be regularly removed.

Note
The windshield washer nozzles are heated
when the ignition is on, as a precaution against
freezing.
