TRANSDUCER
Simrad 710-36E
710 kHz Single-beam transducer
Introduction
With a narrow 2.8 degree beam, the 710-36 transducer
is especially suited for detailed mapping of the bottom
as well as objects in the water. Its high frequency
allows use of a short pulse length providing fi ne range
resolution. When employed in areas with soft bot-
toms, it will detect the upper limit of mud or silt. The
frequency has also proved to successfully penetrate
through aerated water, as for example vessels wakes.
