    This unit requires a 1/2" NPT male nipple, extending 7/16" outside the surface of the finished wall. Seal the wall around the nipple with waterproof sealant. Failure to seal the wall can lead to possible water damage. Wrap the nipple with Teflon tape (1). Position the flat seal over the nipple.
