    General Warnings General Warnings The following warnings apply throughout this manual. Read, understand, and follow the warnings before using this equipment. Failure to follow these warnings can result in serious injury. WARNING GROUNDING This product must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
  • Page 8 Check hoses and parts for signs of damage. Replace any damaged hoses or parts. • This system is capable of producing 1700 psi (117 bar, 11.7 MPa). Use Graco parts or accessories that are rated a minimum of 1700 psi (117 bar, 11.7 MPa).

    Know Your Controls Know Your Controls The ON/OFF power switch controls the main power to the sprayer. The Speed Control knob increases or decreases the pressure or speed of application. The Prime/Spray Valve directs the fluid to either the Drain Tube or the hose and gun. It is used to prime the sprayer, which means to evacuate the air from the pump, hose, and gun.

    Setup Setup Assemble Your Sprayer Attach the Drain Tube Clip to the Drain Tube Mount as shown. To permanently install the legs, press them into each side of the sprayer until a ‘click’ sound is heard. Connect hose to Gun and Sprayer. Tighten both connections securely using two wrenches.

    Startup Startup Pressure Relief Procedure Turn Speed Control Knob to lowest setting. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure whenever you see this symbol. This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is manually relieved. To help Set Prime/Spray Valve to PRIME prevent serious injury from pressurized position to relieve pressure.

    Startup Flush Storage Fluid Engage the Trigger Lock. It is important to flush storage fluid from the sprayer before using. Ensure Power Switch is OFF and plug sprayer into a grounded outlet. If you suspect the pressure has not been fully relieved, see Blockages, page 22.

    Startup Fill Pump (Prime the Pump) Allow water to enter Suction Tube and exit the Drain Tube for 30-60 seconds. Turn the Power Switch to OFF. The Prime/Spray Valve directs the fluid to either the Drain Tube or the hose and gun. It is used to prime the sprayer, which means to evacuate the air from the pump, hose, and gun.
