The manual is meant for qualified installers who will install the appliance in a caravan, camper or holiday home. Read the information and instructions carefully and follow them strictly to install the appliance safely and correctly.

■ The surrounding surfaces must be able to withstand the allowable temperature rise of 65°C above ambient temperature, as specified in the EN30-1-1 standard and in accordance with the design of this unit. ■ The temperature of the surrounding surfaces may rise if there are other additional devices besides the appliance.
In terms of serviceability, this means that a dealer or authorised Thetford service partner must be able to remove and re-install the Thetford product within the time that is allowed according to the Thetford time-list, using standard tools and equipment.

Cabinetry protection dimensions The distances below are between the edge of the burners and the sides and between the pan rests and overhanging parts. Caution: the surface temperature exceeds 95°C. To avoid a hazard, under bench access must be restricted. If you are unable to maintain the minimum distances mentioned in the table below, protect with non-flammable material.
Cabinetry ventilation and protection dimensions Maintain provision for the dispersal of unburnt gas beneath the appliance. Ensure any gas drop hole is located away from the burners. The gas drop hole must vent to the outside of the leisure vehicle. 1.

Install the appliance ■ Remove all packaging materials from the appliance. ■ Slide the appliance half way into the opening. ■ Connect the 12V DC cables for spark ignition (and cooling fans where applicable) to a 12V DC battery or power supply, using suitable connectors and observing the correct polarity.
