Notes to the installer:
1) Read the entire Installation Instructions prior to beginning the installation of this accessory.
2)
If applicable, scan the barcode label located on the accessory part or packaging prior to installing, to register the part. If this accessory is installed as
a replacement, register the removal of the old part before registering the new part. Old and new parts will have different barcode data, and the old
registration cannot be reused.
3) Make sure the vehicle is completely clean and dry in the area(s) the part is to be installed.
4) Ensure the vehicle is properly protected in the area(s) that the accessory is to be installed.
5) NEVER place tools on painted surfaces, seating surfaces, dash pad, console or floor carpet/mats.
6) Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety glasses, etc., when required.
7) Do NOT use a two-post vehicle lift for side step installation.

Remove the bottom plastic retainer as shown. NOTE: Do NOT use a two-post vehicle lift for Side Steps installation. B.

  • Page 5 Genuine Accessories Needle-Nose Pliers #2 Phillips Screwdriver and Clip Removal Tool A. Carefully remove the rubber weather seal from the (LH) plastic rocker A. Remove the one (1) plastic retainer from the upper surface of the (LH) panel cover by grasping the clips with needle-nose pliers from the back side step and discard.

Insert six (6) bolts into the underside surface of the (LH) Side Step as A. Torque the seven (7) bolts on the upper vertical surface to: shown and torque to: 5.89 N-m (60.00 kgf-cm, 52.00 lbf-in).
