Lens Marking and Installation Requirements
This High Level Brake Light identified by lens marking E
to comply with:
ECE Regulation No. 7 Rear Position (side) / Stop Lamp (Category S3)
• A tolerance of +/-3° applies on all mounting details.
• Lamp mounting surface must be vertical to the ground, and at right angles to the longitudinal axis of
the vehicle.
• Lamp module must be visible from 10° inboard and outboard, as well as from 10° above and 5°
below the horizontal axis.
• Lamp module must be fitted at a height of no more than 150mm below the lower edge of the rear
• window, and no less than 850mm above the road surface.
• Lamp module must be placed above the existing stop lamps and as close to the centreline of the
vehicle as physically possible.
• Lamp is approved to be mounted horizontally and vertically with an allowable rotation shown in the
diagram over page.
