Blind Hem Stitches

The woven blind hem is a great method of finishing a
hemline or sleeve. Finish the raw hem edge with a
zigzag or 3 step zigzag before sewing the blind hem.
Use the stretch blind hem
.
Fold up the hem allowance and press. Fold under
the hem toward right side of garment. Leave a 6.5-
10 mm (1/4" to 3/8") extension k at the right
j Wrong side of fabric.
Position the fabric so the folded edge is to the left
side of the guide n. Lower the presser foot. Make
sure only the zigzag catches one or two fibers of the
fold m.
NOTE: If you are using the stretch blind hem
only the widest zigzag catches one or two fibers.
By turning the adjustment nut o, it is possible to
move the guide to the right or left. (The narrow zig-
zag l will be sewn on the single fabric layer.)
