After Cooler Performance Examples to illustrate After Cooler performance under different operating conditions. • Example 1 Example 2 o Inlet Air Pressure = 150 psi o Inlet Air Pressure = 300 psi o Air Flow = 150 cfm o Air Flow = 150 cfm o Inlet Air Temperature = 300°F o Inlet Air Temperature = 300°F o Ambient Air Temperature = 100°F...
The maximum throughput for the aftercooler is 400cfm (11.3 m /min) • As more air is pushed through the aftercooler, the less time it has to cool down because it is • moving faster inside the cooling passages. At an inlet air pressure of 80 psi (5.5 bar), the tables below show the effect of throughput on •...

Starting the Machine 1. Turn the air bleed ball valve handle to the horizontal (closed) position. 2. Turn the filter’s ball valve handle to the horizontal (closed) position. 3. Turn on the compressor and pressurize the unit. 4. Adjust the fan speed by turning the rotary dial on top of the...
Shutting Down the Machine 1. Turn off the compressed air supply at the source. 2. Turn the air bleed ball valve handle to a vertical position to release the Step 2 stored air pressure. 3. Place a pan or bucket under the ball valve of the filter.
The Compressed Air Supply Although Cold Jet dry ice equipment is designed and engineered to work under the most • demanding environments and conditions, the incoming air supply must be as free of oil, dirt/foreign particles, and water/moisture as possible.

Symbol: Example: Human hair = 70 Understanding the effects of the surrounding environment Although Cold Jet dry ice equipment is designed and engineered to work under the most • demanding environments and conditions, temperature, humidity, dust, and other contaminants present in the surrounding air can have an adverse effect on dry ice blasting equipment.
And, if it is possible to cool the air even further such as using a Cold Jet aftercooler, more moisture is turned to water that can be separated from the compressed air. The result is even less moisture, in any form, to negatively affect the dry ice blasting equipment.
