3.0 FURNACE INSTALLATION The return air/ inlet connection is on the top rear of the unit and the supply plenum is connected on top front of the unit. The cabinet is also large enough so 20” X 20” supply plenums could be attached directly on the furnace. See Figure 1 for details. The unit is approved for installation with zero clearance on all parts of the cabinet including the floor (combustible floor) and also with zero clearance on the walls of the supply plenum. -

3.1 Notes with a cooling system installation Cooling system OUTSIDE UNIT INSIDE EVAPORATOR An air conditioning evaporator coil may be installed on the supply side only. Coils installed on the return side will cause damage on the unit; this will shorten the unit life . -

4.0 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO THE FURNACE 4.1 240VAC – High voltage Blower speeds You only need to bring a 3 conductors wire + ground to the relays Heating furnace . 4.3 120VAC terminal strip 120V The KLE series are equipped, as standard equipment, strip with a 120V terminal strip as shown on figure 8. Pins 1 and 2 are live 120V connectors and pins 3 and 4 are neutral connectors. The maximum ampacity of accessories on this terminal strip is 2A. -

NOTES: If a two stage thermostat is used, remove the jumpers between W1 & W2. If a three stage thermostat is used remove the jumpers between W1 & W2 and between W2 & W3. 6.0 AIR FLOW VERIFICATION After the installation, it is CRITICAL that proper air flow be verified. This is done by taking the difference of temperatures (delta T) between the inlet plenum and the supply (warm air) plenum. -

7.0 ANNUAL MAINTENANCE This electric furnace requires very little maintenance. Nonetheless the following points should be checked annually: REPLACE the air filter.
