This will be amazingly snug and comfortable but remember—it's a new experience for both you and your baby! .
Make sure that baby is well-fed and not overtired when you first start using the carrier. Try practicing in front of the mirror. .
If the baby starts getting fussy, just take a deep breath and a few steps around the room until you're both ready to continue.. Once positioned correctly your baby should be snug against your body, high on your chest, enabling you to stand normally, just as if you were holding him or her in your arms.
The Newborn Hold in the Boba Carrier is intended for babies 7–15 lbs | 3.2–6.8 kg. If your baby is less than 7 lbs | 3.2 kg we recommend using the Boba Wrap (boba.com/baby-wrap). If your baby is 15 lbs | 6.8 kg or more please use the Front Carry instructions.
Insert Position 1 (7–10 lbs)

Boba Carrier conveniently provides 3 pockets to keep your phone, keys, some teething toys, and some snacks for you!
Breastfeeding Buckle
The Boba Classic Carrier features a unique quick-release breastfeeding buckle so you can nurse on the go! Simply loosen the buckle with our thumbs pressing outwards on one or both sides of the carrier to allow more room for your baby to comfortably breastfeed. Please refer to boba.com for detailed instructions.
Hood
When your baby has fallen asleep, pull the hood from the carrier pocket, grab one hood strap and extend it straight up toward the top of your head. Then snap it to the shoulder strap on the same side.
NOTE: Be sure to leave some slack in the hood so that your baby's head is not pressed too snugly against your body. Make sure the hood doesn't cover your baby's nose and mouth. Your baby's nose should be, at the very least, parallel to the floor at all times. When baby falls asleep his or her nose should be pointed higher. To store the hood, place it back in the carrier pocket.
Tips and tricks for secure and comfortable babywearing
The seat of the carrier should support your baby's bottom, thighs and reach up to the back of their knees.
Once your baby is in the carrier, you can gently scoop their calves up so their pelvis is tucked and their knees are at hip level or higher, with their spine in a natural ergonomic position.
Wearing your baby should not hurt your back. If so, you may be wearing the carrier too loose, too tight, or the fabric may be twisted.
Make sure the waistbelt is tight enough so you can carry the weight of the baby with your hips, not just your shoulders, and that the shoulder straps are snug enough so both of you are comfortable. This way you can achieve optimal weight distribution.
Baby carriers allow parents to be hands-free to do other things, but you must always be active in caring for your child. Please follow the instructions carefully and refer to the safety guidelines.
Use common sense and your best judgment to keep your baby safe and secure when carrying your baby in the Boba Classic Carrier.
Constantly monitor your child and make sure your baby's face is visible and the mouth and nose are unobstructed. Your baby's nose should be at least
parallel to the floor at all times. After nursing your baby, remember to scoot them up and re-tighten the carrier. Don't put loose items in the carrier with your baby that are potential choking hazards.
Make sure to protect your baby from the elements. Their arms, legs, and heads may need sun protection. Dress the baby in weatherappropriate clothing and don't use a baby carrier in circumstances that could lead to heat stress.
Regularly inspect your carrier for any signs of wear and damage. Check for ripped seams, torn straps, or fabric and ensure all buckles, snaps, and adjustments are secure before each use.
Always make sure the waist buckle is engaged by listening for a strong "click" sound. To release the buckle, pinch both sides at the same time. Take care when bending and leaning forwards or sideways. Always bend at your knees to protect your back.
Your movement and the child's movement may affect your balance.
Be aware of the increased risk of your child falling out of the carrier as they become more active.
Be aware of hazards in the domestic environment - do not operate electrical appliances, stay away from heat sources, do not cook or drink hot beverages while wearing your baby.
The carrier is not suitable for use during sporting activities, e.g., running, cycling, swimming, skiing, and other fast-moving physical activity where the chance of impact or falling is high.(Refer to the "Fall Hazard Warning" label on the inside of the waist belt.)
