2.2 Precautions for Operating iPads
The following describes precautions for controlling an LC system from an iPad. More specifically, it
describes precautions regarding the iPad and the web browser it includes (Safari).
Auto-Lock Function
If the iPad becomes locked by the auto-lock function, the web application may not function in a
stable manner. If so, use the following procedure to switch the auto-lock function OFF.
1.
Tap the [Settings] icon on the iPad [Home] screen.
In the [Settings] panel, tap [General].

In the [General] panel, tap [Auto-Lock].
In the [Auto-Lock] panel, tap [Never].
Continuous Operation
The iPad functions can become unstable if connected to an LC system for extended periods. For
continuous operation, beware of the following precautions.
• Close all windows in Safari approximately once per day.

• Avoid operating the iPad continuously with 3 or more operating screens left open. Normally, use
the Group Monitor and Analysis Execution applications one at a time.
• If iPad functions become unstable, switch the iPad power OFF, then ON.

Safari Cache
Just like Internet Explorer, the web browser on iPad (Safari) allows deleting cache files. If the cache
files cause things to not function or display properly, use the following procedure to delete the cache
files. For more details regarding cache files, refer to the CBM-20A/20Alite Instruction Manual

2.9 Precautions Related to Internet Explorer Operations

Tap the [Settings] icon on the iPad [Home] screen.
In the [Settings] panel, tap [Safari].

When the confirmation dialog box appears, tap [Clear].
