Pull Station Installation Instructions
DO NOT INSTALL ANY SIMPLEX PRODUCT THAT APPEARS
DAMAGED. Upon unpacking your Simplex product, inspect the contents of
the carton for shipping damage. If damage is apparent, immediately file a claim
with the carrier and notify Simplex.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD - Disconnect electrical power when making any
internal adjustments or repairs. Servicing should be performed by qualified
Simplex Representatives.
STATIC HAZARD - Static electricity can damage components. Therefore,
handle as follows:
1.
Ground yourself before opening or installing components.
2.
Keep uninstalled component wrapped in anti-static material at all times.
The 4099-9001, -9002, -9003 Addressable Pull Stations provide two-state status
information (NORMAL and SHORT) to the 4010 Fire Alarm Control Panel
(FACP) via the IDNet ™ channel and to the 4100/4120/4020 FACP via the
MAPNET II channel. The IDNet and MAPNET II channel(s) provide the
communication link between pull stations and FACP and powers the entire
circuitry.

Introduction The 4099-9001, -9002, -9003 Addressable Pull Stations provide two-state status information (NORMAL and SHORT) to the 4010 Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) via the IDNet ™ channel and to the 4100/4120/4020 FACP via the MAPNET II channel.
  • Page 2 Setting the Addressable Pull Note: The IDNet channel (4010 FACP only) supports address codes 1 through Station Address 250. The MAPNET II channel (4100, or 4120, or 4020 FACP) supports address codes 1 through 127. Each Addressable Pull Station has a unique address. The address of the Addressable Pull Station is set via an eight position dip switch (Figure 1), DIP switch position 1 is the least significant bit (LSB) and position 8 is the most significant bit (MSB).
  • Page 3 The IDNet or MAPNET II signal connects to the Addressable Pull Station via Making Electrical Connections to the terminals 1and 2. Terminals 3 and 4 are factory wired, do not use for field Addressable Pull Station wiring. Terminal connections for the Addressable Pull Station are illustrated in Figure 3.
