INTENDED USES • The ChainsawSelion 12 is intended for cutting only wood and branches up to a diameter corresponding to the length of the chainsaw guide bar. • The ChainsawSelion 12 must be used at ground level or from a suitable platform that is completely stable and secure.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.

If necessary, push the retaining plate backwards using the chain guide or the quick chain guide tightening lever to loosen the chain tensioning system.

Loosen the quick chain guide tightening lever (1) 3 turns by turning it counterclockwise. Tighten the quick chain guide tightening lever (1) properly by turning it clockwise.

    Check the oil level regularly while using the tool and top up if necessary. Note PELLENC recommends the use of a biodegradable chain oil conforming to the RAL-UZ-48 standard (ref. 116688, otherwise any oil that complies with the RAL-UZ-48 standard). Consumables sold separately.

    After mounting, the battery must be solidly attached and secured on your harness. If this is not the case then the mounting needs to be checked. 4.10. CONNECTING A BATTERY PELLENC TO THE TOOL Important Always check the remaining battery-life before use. If necessary, recharge the battery using the charger.

    To prolong the life of the connectors, they should be protected when disconnected. It is therefore necessary to avoid having them in contact with abrasive or dirty surfaces, or subjecting them to significant impacts (falls). Ensure that nothing physical (e.g. tape, collar, etc.) prevents or interferes with the operation of the safety throttle. Ensure that the safety throttle is working properly by depressing it.

Ensure that the chain guard covers the chain links correctly. Ensure that there are no physical obstructions to the correct positioning of the chain guard.

Place, as shown in the diagram, a file holder on the top plate and the depth limiter of the gouge. Caution Do not file off the top of drive links (7) or connecting links (6) equipped with anti-kickback.

    6.3. REPLACEMENT 6.3.1. REPLACING THE CHAIN AND THE CHAIN GUIDE Caution Never use a chain or guide other than those specified by PELLENC, as this may result in personal injury.     The warranty forms an inseparable whole with the product sold by PELLENC. 10.1.2.1.2. SPARE PARTS The commercial warranty also covers original spare parts PELLENC, excluding labour and to the exclusion of certain spare parts of each product provided upon delivery.
