The slender material may catch the saw chain and be whipped toward you or pull you off balance. Carry the chain saw by the front handle with the chain saw switched off and away from your body. When transporting or storing the chain saw always fit the guide bar cover.

    POLE-MOUNTED CHAINSAW SELION T175-225 / T220-300 51_148662-E 4.6. AUTOMATIC CHAIN TENSIONING (FIRST USE) Lift the quick chain guide tightening lever (1) from its holding magnet (2). Loosen the quick chain guide tightening lever (1) 3 turns by turning it counterclockwise.

    Check the oil level regularly while using the tool and top up if necessary. Note PELLENC recommends the use of a biodegradable chain oil conforming to the RAL-UZ-48 standard (ref. 116688, otherwise any oil that complies with the RAL-UZ-48 standard). Consumables sold separately.

    After mounting, the battery must be solidly attached and secured on your harness. If this is not the case then the mounting needs to be checked. 4.10. CONNECTING A BATTERY PELLENC FROM THE TOOL Important Always check the remaining battery-life before use. If necessary, recharge the battery using the charger.

    To prolong the life of the connectors, they should be protected when disconnected. It is therefore necessary to avoid having them in contact with abrasive or dirty surfaces, or subjecting them to significant impacts (falls). When using and transporting the tool, use the carrying strap provided. For optimal use, tighten the buckles and adjust the strap to obtain a position for comfortable and safe use.

START-UP Caution Do not cut anything other than wood. Always start the motor before bringing the chainsaw into contact with the wood.

CHECKING THE SAFETY THROTTLE Visually check the condition of the safety throttle. Ensure that nothing physical (e.g. tape, collar, etc.) prevents or interferes with the operation of the safety throttle.

    POLE-MOUNTED CHAINSAW SELION T175-225 / T220-300 51_148662-E 6.2.11. CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE DEPTH LIMITERS Check the depth limiters every 2 or 3 sharpening operations. Use a depth gage corresponding to the type of chain to be sharpened. Place the depth gage on the cutter.

    51_148662-E 6.3. REPLACEMENT 6.3.1. REPLACING THE CHAIN AND THE CHAIN GUIDE Caution Never use a chain or guide other than those specified by PELLENC, as this may result in personal injury. Always wear leather gloves when handling the chain. Warning The running in of the guide and chain must be carried out each time one or the other is changed, see 4.8.

    Products PELLENC connected to a battery are covered by the commercial warranty from the date of delivery to the user customer for a period of two (2) years PELLENC, and for a period of one (1) year in respect of other products PELLENC.

    The paid after-sales service also covers original spare parts PELLENC, excluding labour and outside the legal or commercial warranty period.
