    INSTRUCTION MANUAL This embroidery unit is intended for household use. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using a embroidery unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following. Read all instructions before using.     ATTACHING THE EMBROIDERY FOOT First, you must attach the embroidery foot to your sewing machine. CAUTION: To prevent accidents. Turn off the power switch of sewing machine before you change the presser foot. 1. Turn off the power switch of your sewing machine.

    ATTACHING THE EMBROIDERY UNIT CAUTION: To prevent accidents. 1. Turn off the power switch of sewing machine before you attach the embroidery unit to the sewing machine. 2. Do not carry the sewing machine when embroidery unit is attached. It may fall off.

    ADJUSTING THE TILT OF CONTROL BOX Tilt the control box by pulling the bottom side of box. To store, push there. CAUTION Do not move the control box strongly. Otherwise, it may be broken. REMOVING THE EMBROIDERY UNIT 1. Remove the embroidery frame from carriage if attached.

    SETTINGS OF THE UNIT (Top Page) 1. When you have attached the embroidery unit correctly, Top page will appear on the screen. A. Editing Indicator You can enter 3 patterns or letters at same time. When you turn on this unit, empty 3 holder are indicated and underline is appear at the first holder.

    SETTING THE EMBROIDERY FRAME PREPARING THE FABRIC, THREAD AND NEEDLE Consult your nearest dealer to get best result. FABRIC For good result, use stabilizer for embroidery. (Stabilizer is soled on the market) THREAD Upper Thread: Use spool type embroidery thread. #50-#60. Lower Thread: Use #90 polyester spun thread.

    SETTING THE FABRIC 1. Loosen the adjustment screw (a) from outer embroidery frame (b) and remove the inner frame (c). “I” 2. Put the outer frame on flat table. 3. Put the fabric on the outer frame. 4. Aligning the “I” mark on both frame, push and insert the inner frame into the fabric from upper side so that the both frames should be even height.

    SELECTING EMBROIDERY PATTERN This embroidery unit has 150 embroidery patterns. (See page 15 “Embroidery pattern chart”) To select a pattern, follow as below steps. 1. When you attached the embroidery unit correctly, the LCD will indicate top page. 2. Touch embroidery pattern selection button (A).

    SETTING THE EMBROIDERY PATTERN When you have selected a desired pattern, LCD will indicate setting page. You can change the layout of pattern from this page. A. Frame size. Selected frame size is indicated. You can change the frame size by touching the frame and stop position change button (E).

    H. Scalling button By touching this button, scalling page will appear. Touch + or - button to scale up or down the pattern. You can scale up or down 5% each until +-20%. If scale size is over the sewable area, you can not scale up.

    SELECTING EMBROIDERY LETTERS This embroidery unit can sew english letters. (See page 22 “Pattern chart”.) To select letters, follow below procedures. 1. Open the top page. If other pattern or letters has been entered, holder (1a) is filled and next holder is underlined.

    SETTING LETTERS When you have touched “OK” button at save and color change page, LCD will change to frame setting page. See page 11 and set frame size and position. After frame setting, LCD will indicate setting page. Setting page is same as setting the pattern (Page 12) except for below functions.

    SEWING EMBROIDERY Always test on a piece of fabric scrap before you start actual sewing. WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED SETTINGS (Before go to sewing mode) This unit sew activated pattern or letters. 1. Activate the pattern or letters you want to sew by touching the activation button.

    STARTING THE EMBROIDERY SEWING Thread the upper thread to the first color. Color and sequence of each pattern are indicated on the pattern chart. (Thread correctly referring your sewing machine manual.) CAUTION: To avoid injury; Special care is needed for the needle when changing the upper thread.

    CONNECTING LETTERS If the letters are too long to sew at once, you can connect letters as follows. 1. Select first few letters and sew. 2. Remove the embroidery frame. 3. Reset the fabric so that the end point of letter is coming to first point of next letters.

    SAVING EMBROIDERY DATA TO THE USB FLASH MEMORY This unit can save the combination and settings of patterns and letters to the USB flash memory as one embroidery data. This data is saved as “.hlo” format. 1. Insert the USB flash memory into the connector port.

    READING EMBROIDERY DATA FROM USB FLASH MEMORY This unit can read saved data (.hlo) and other embroidery data (.dst) from the USB flash memory. Note: Certain “.dst” embroidery data may be misformed or tangled. In this case, you should edit it by using commercial embroidery software.

    SEWING TIPS TO SEW SMALL FABRIC OR FABRIC EDGE Use stabilizer for embroidery. Remove it after sewing. A. Small fabric B. Fabric end C.     REGULATING THE THREAD TENSION According to the thread or fabric, thread tension should be changed. To get correct thread tension, test sew using same fabric and adjust as follows. A. CORRECT THREAD TENSION TOP SIDE BOTTOM SIDE Upper thread appears slightly to the bottom side of fabric.
