    DSX2000 Product concept 2.1 Product Overview This product is a next-generation digital microscope that covers a wider range of magnifications, equipped with a variety of observation methods and image processing capabilities. We provide "Smart Analysis," which eliminates the annoyance of existing optical microscopes and digital microscopes, and enables anyone to quickly and easily observe, measure, and analyze.

    DSX2000 Safety Precautions If the product is used in a manner not specified by this manual, user safety cannot be guaranteed and the product may also be damaged. If the product is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
  • Page 9 DSX2000 When transporting the frame, do not carry it in an unstable position. When transporting the motorized stage, remove theplate. See"Attaching/Removing Attachment of the stage " (page 36) for how to detach. When transporting the motorized stage, hold the surface of the stage (the part painted gray).

    If necessary, you may need to purchase local controller alone. · In some areas, there may be no Evident service system in place. In that case, you may need to send the product to Japan for repair or other services.

    If foreign objects such as accessories or metal pieces get into the system through a vent hole or elsewhere, it may cause electric shock or system failure. In such case, immediately stop using the system, turn off the power, and contact the Evident distributor where you purchased the system.

    DSX2000 Do not use damaged power cords. This may cause a short circuit or fire. Do not connect the power cord to any power supply voltage other than that specified in the instruction manual. There is a risk of fire, electric shock, or falure.

    DSX2000 3.6 Prevention of injury Do not place your hands under the microscope body. You may get your fingers or hand pinched. C A U T I O N Be careful not to get your hands pinched in the microscope body, or cut on the edges of the device.

You may get injured if your fingers get pinched in the openings in the stage. When using the polarized illumination adapter, do not touch any part of the adapter other than the adjustment lever.

    If you use the controller that has not been tested by Evident for operation, its proper operation cannot be guaranteed. For controller models tested by Evident for operation, contact your distributor.

    DSX2000 Note if you exit the application using the [End Process] button on the [Task Manager] dialog box in Microsoft Windows, the last window settings are not saved. If the virus search, sleep function, screen saver, etc. are activated while operating this system, the data acquisition may fail or the system operation may become unstable.

    List of Combinable Units 6.1 Unit Combination There is no compatibility between the DSX1000 and DSX2000 systems. Do not combine them or it may N O T E cause a failure. However, some units can be used in combination. Please see below for the units that can be combined.

    DSX2000 8.3 Attaching and removing the Zoom Head Follow the instructions in this chapter to attach and detach the zoom head. If the product is C A U T I O N attached or detached incorrectly, it may be damaged due to static electricity.

N O T E As they are electrically connected, attaching/detaching components while electrified may damage the product to break down.

    DSX2000 8.6 Attaching and Detaching the Cartridge Holder and Cartridges Use the transmitted illumination cartridge holder (DSX20-ICH) in combination with the motorized stage with transmitted illumination (DSX20-TMTS). Installing the Cartridge Holder and Cartridges Pressing too hard or applying large impact may cause the stage glass to break and result in injury. Be N O T E careful when attaching or detaching as the glass may break if dropped.
