    2. Function The PUROTAP® micro cartridge filters lime and aggressive substances, such as sulphates, nitrates and chlorides, out of the drinking water. PUROTAP® micro uses a mixed bed ion exchanger to provide demineralised, fully desalinated water, which is also referred to as distillate-like water. This method does not emit any chemical additives into the water and works without a power supply.

    5. Installation Using the wall mounting bracket, install the cartridge in a suitable position on the wall near a tap. The tube can simply be wound round the cartridge mounting bracket. The direction of flow is not important at this stage. Once selected, however, it should not be changed until the resin is spent (beige).

    5.1. Applications 5.1.1. Refilling the heating system According to European standards, water for filling heating systems should be demineralised. Practical experience has shown that, even at a low hardness level, limescale deposits can cause damage to modern appliances, such as wall mounted gas boilers, heat pumps and solar thermal systems.
