Downloading and installing the app

Scan the QR code to download and install the HUAWEI AI Life app, where you can try out more features and customize the settings for your earbuds.

Pairing and connecting

  1. Enable Bluetooth on the device you wish to pair with the earbuds.
  2. Open the charging case and leave the earbuds inside. Hold down on the Function button for 2 seconds until the indicator flashes white. The earbuds will then enter Pairing mode.

  3. Pair the earbuds in either of the following ways:
    Method 1: Bluetooth pairing
    Search for the earbuds in the Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet and complete the pairing.

    Method 2: Proximity pairing
    Place the earbuds close to your phone/tablet, and touch CONNECT on the displayed pop-up.

    information Proximity pairing is supported on select HUAWEI phones/tablets running EMUI 10.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.

Open the charging case and leave the earbuds inside. Hold down on the Function button for 10 seconds until the indicator flashes red. The earbuds will then be restored to their factory settings before re-entering Pairing mode.

Shortcut controls

You can control the earbuds via the groove or the touch-sensitive area on the earbud handle.
Groove area: Press your thumb against the back of either earbud handle, and use your index finger to slide, pinch, or pinch and hold on the blue-marked area on the front of the earbud handle.
Touch-sensitive area: Tap the blue-marked area on the earbud handle.

Selecting a pair of ear tips

The earbuds come with three pairs of shape-memory foam ear tips (S-, M-, and L-sized) and four pairs of silicone ear tips (XS-, S-, M-, and L-sized), with the M-sized silicone ear tips attached by default.
Choose the ear tips that provide the desired noise canceling effects and comfort when worn (the following uses the left earbud as an example).
To install the ear tips:

  1. Align the slots on the ear tip with the buckles on the earbud.
  2. Push the ear tip slot onto the upper buckle and then gently stretch the tip until the slot is attached to the lower buckle.

  3. Make sure that both ear tips are securely attached.
  4. Put on the earbuds. Open the HUAWEI AI Life app, or open the Bluetooth settings, and touch Tip fit test to test the fit. After replacing your ear tips with another pair of a different material, touch Tip type, and select the ear tips in use to match them with the optimal noise cancellation and sound settings.

Charging the earbuds

Place the earbuds in the charging case to initiate automatic charging.

Method 2: Place the charging case on a compatible wireless charger with the indicator facing upward, align the center of the wireless charging coil with the center of the wireless charger, and slightly adjust the position until the indicator turns on.

Safety Information

Before using and operating this device, read the following precautions to ensure an optimal device performance and avoid dangerous use or unauthorized operations.

  • To protect your hearing, do not listen to audio at a high volume for a long period of time.
  • Some wireless devices may interfere with implantable medical devices and other medical equipment, such as pacemakers, cochlear implants, and hearing aids. When using the product, keep it at least 15 cm away from such medical devices. Consult the manufacturer of your medical equipment for more information.
  • Ideal temperatures: 0°C to 35°C for operating; -20°C to +45°C for storage.
  • Ensure that the power adapter meets the requirements of IEC/EN 62368-1 and has been tested and approved according to national or local standards.
  • Observe all local traffic laws and regulations while using this product. Do not use this device when you are driving.
  • Keep this device and its accessories that may contain small components out of the reach of children. Otherwise, children may damage this device and its accessories by mistake, or swallow the small components, which may cause choking.
  • Avoid using the device in dusty, damp, or dirty environments, or near sources of magnetic interference.
  • Avoid disassembling or modifying your device and its accessories. Unauthorized disassembly and modifications may result in voiding the factory warranty. If your device is faulty, visit an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
  • The earbuds meet requirements of (excluding the charging case) IP54 (IEC 60529).
  • The power delivered by the charger must be between min 2.5 Watts required by the radio equipment, and max 7.5 Watts in order to achieve the maximum charging speed.

  • This device contains a coin, button, or small-sized cell battery. Do not swallow the battery, as it constitutes a chemical burn hazard.
  • If the coin, button, or small size cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
  • Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • Keep the battery away from fire, excessive heat, extremely low air pressure and direct sunlight. Do not place it on or in heating devices. Do not disassemble, modify, throw, or squeeze it. Do not insert foreign objects into it, submerge it in liquids, or expose it to external force or pressure, as this may cause it to leak, overheat, catch fire, or even explode.
  • Do not attempt to replace the battery yourself — you may damage the battery, which could cause overheating, fire, and injury. The built-in battery in your device should be serviced by Huawei or an authorized service provider.
  • The nameplate of this device is attached to the inside of the charging case lid.
  • Open or close the charging case to enable or disable Bluetooth.

Precautions

  • In order for the earbuds to function correctly, keep the mesh, ear tips, as well as the metal contact points on the earphones and charging case clean.
  • If you experience any skin irritation while wearing the earbuds, remove them and clean them thoroughly. If the issue persists, seek advice from a medical professional.
  • Enabling noise canceling may affect your awareness of surrounding sounds and alarms. Ensure that you are in a safe environment when using this function.
  • This device's firmware will automatically update whenever it connects to a previously paired Honor device (released before the end of 2020) or a previously paired Huawei device, and Wi-Fi or mobile data is enabled. You can disable automatic firmware updates in Settings.
  • Battery life may vary depending on the device settings, storage and usage environments, and enabled features.
