Beurer MP 44 Manual

Introduction

This manicure and pedicure device comes with high quality attachments. The attachments included are made with durable sapphire coating or polishing felt. Combined with continuously variable speed control and selectable rotation directions, professional quality foot and nail care is possible. All attachments can be easily stored into the storage case. The integrated LED creates ideal lighting conditions during use.

Power supply:
To ensure adequate power at all times, this device includes a permanently attached power adapter.

To Use

Select an attachment and push it gently onto the device spindle until it clicks into place. To remove, pull the attachment and device apart.
Switch the device on by sliding the power switch back for a counterclockwise rotation or forward for clockwise rotation. Pink LEDs will illuminate depending on the selected speed. Press the Hi or Lo button to select an RPM speed. Start every application at low speed and increase only as required.
File and cutting attachments are coated with sapphire crystals to ensure long life. Do not exert heavy pressure and always guide the attachments carefully in circular movements slowly over the parts to be treated. Always work from the outside of a nail toward the tip.
Attachments will not be as effective on soft or wet skin; do not use during or immediately after bathing or showering.
In order to retain the skin's natural protection, do not remove all the callused skin.
Always ensure that the spindle can rotate freely. It must never be permanently jammed; otherwise, the instrument may overheat and become damaged.
Check the results during treatment. This is particularly important for diabetics, since their hands and feet are less sensitive.
After every use, apply moisturizing cream to the parts treated.

Attachments

Since the attachments are high quality and improper use can lead to injury, handle the attachments carefully. Use extra caution when operating the device at high speeds. The following attachments are included:

Fine Sapphire Wheel
Files and treats nails. Only the inner wheel rotates, while the outer support is stationary. This enables precise filing of the nails without the risk of burning the skin.
Coarse Sapphire Wheel
Files and treats nails. Quickly removes large areas of the nail, so use with caution.
Sapphire cone
Removes dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures toenails.
Felt cone
Smoothens and polishes nails after filing and cleans nail surfaces. Always use circular movements and do not allow the felt cone to remain in one place.
Sapphire Rasp
Fast removal of thick or large calluses on the feet. Intended for use on large areas.
Cylindrical Grinder
Grinds and smoothens toenails. Apply the milling cutter horizontally to the nail surface and remove the unwanted toenail layer using slow circular movements.
Pointed Grinder
Removes ingrown nails. Carefully guide the pointed grinder to the part to be treated and remove parts of the nail as necessary.
Dust Shield
Keeps nail dust and skin cells under control.

Always check results regularly during treatment. As soon as the application becomes unpleasant, stop the treatment.

Care and Maintenance

Before cleaning, always unplug power adapter from the electrical outlet.
Clean the device with a slightly moistened cloth. You can also moisten the cloth with a mild detergent.
If necessary, attachments can be cleaned with a cloth or brush moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Dry them carefully afterwards.
Keep water out of the device. If water does contact the device, let it dry thoroughly before using.
Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the device.
Never immerse the device or power adapter in water or other liquids.

During use, considerable heat may be experienced on the skin.
- Check progress regularly during the treatment. This is particularly important for diabetics, as they have a lower sensitivity to pain and could injure themselves more easily. Diabetics should use with particular care and not use at high speed. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor.
- This instrument must be used only for the purpose for which it has been developed, and in the manner described in the instructions for use. Any improper use can be dangerous.
In case of prolonged intensive use, the device might get hot. In order to prevent skin burns in these situations, take breaks between each use. For your own safety, constantly monitor heat buildup in the device. This particularly applies to people who are insensitive to heat.
The device is only for private use and is not intended for medical or commercial purposes.
The appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs are present, or if the appliance has been used improperly, it must be returned to the manufacturer before further use.
Switch off the instrument immediately in the event of malfunction.
Repairs may be carried out only by customer service. Do not try to repair the device yourself.
Use the device only with the accessories provided.
Never leave the device unattended when it is in operation.
Keep the device away from children to prevent any possible danger.

If the device has dropped into water, unplug the plug-in power unit immediately.

After use, before cleaning and changing any accessory parts, always unplug the power adapter from the electrical outlet. Ensure that the Power Switch on the device is in the center position (off) before connecting the device to an electrical outlet.
For hygienic reasons, only use the device on one person.
This device is intended only for the treatment of hands (manicure) and feet (pedicure).

To reduce the risk of personal injury or product/ property damage:

Keep hair away from the rotating attachment during use.
Do not exert heavy pressure during use; guide the attachments gently over the treatment area in a circular motion.
Always ensure that the spindle can rotate freely.
Consult your doctor before using this product if you:
- are not sure whether it is suitable for you
- suffer from a serious illness
- have diabetes or thrombosis
- have pains of unclear origin
Attachments may have a reduced effect if the treatment area is softened or moist. For this reason, do not use immediately after bathing.
Do not completely remove all the callused skin in order to retain the skin's natural protection.
