Intended use

This heated overblanket is only designed to warm up the human body.

Operation

Safety

  • The heated overblanket is fitted with the SAFETY SYSTEM. This electronic sensor technology provides protection against overheating across the entire surface of the heated overblanket with an automatic switch-off if there is a fault.
  • Please note that, for safety reasons, the heated overblanket can no longer be operated after a fault has occurred and must be sent to the specified service address.
  • Do not connect the defective heated overblanket with another control of the same type. This would trigger a permanent switch-off via the control safety system.

Initial use

  • First, connect the control to the heated overblanket by inserting the plug-in coupling.
  • Then plug the mains plug into the socket.

Switching on

To switch the heated overblanket on, set the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.

When it is switched on, the indicator lamp (4) lights up.

Setting the temperature

Level 0: OFF

Level 1: minimum heat

Setting 2 - 5: individual heat setting

Level 6: maximum heat

information NOTE
The fastest way to warm up the heated overblanket is to initially set the highest temperature setting.

If the heated overblanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.

Automatic switch-off

This heated overblanket switches off automatically after 3 hours. Once the heated overblanket has switched off, it is no longer heated and the indicator lamp flashes.

To switch on the heated overblanket again, first set the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position for 5 seconds. After about 5 seconds it is possible to switch it on again.

Switching off

To switch off the heated overblanket, slide the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position.

information NOTE
If the heated overblanket is not being used for several days, slide the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF ( 0 ) position and remove the mains plug from the socket.

Then disconnect the control from the heated overblanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling.

Cleaning and maintenance

Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug from the socket first. Then disconnect the control from the heated overblanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

The control must never come into contact with water or other liquids, as this may cause damage.

  • To clean the control, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Small marks on the heated overblanket can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.

Please note that the heated overblanket may not be chemically cleaned, wrung out, tumble dried, put through a mangle or ironed.

  • This heated overblanket is machine-washable.
  • Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle wash cycle at 30°C (wool cycle). Use a delicate laundry detergent and measure it out according to the manufacturers instructions.

Please note that frequent washing of the heated overblanket has a negative effect on the product. The heated overblanket should therefore be washed in a washing machine a maximum of 5 times during its life.

  • Immediately after washing, reshape the heated overblanket to its original dimensions while it is still wet and spread it out flat over a clothes horse to dry.

  • Do not use pegs or similar items to attach the heated overblanket to the clothes horse. Failure to do so may damage the heated overblanket.
  • Do not reconnect the control to the heated overblanket until the plug-in connector and electric overblanket are completely dry. Failure to do so may damage the heated overblanket.

Never switch the heated overblanket on to dry it! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

Storage

If you do not plan to use the heated overblanket for a long period of time, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging. For this purpose, disconnect the control from the heated overblanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling.

  • Allow the heated overblanket to cool down before folding. Otherwise the heated overblanket may be damaged.
  • Do not crease the heated overblanket by placing items on top of it during storage.

What if there are problems?

Problem Cause Solution
The indicator lamp is not illuminated while
  • the control is properly connected to the heated overblanket.
  • the mains plug is connected to a working socket.
  • the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings is set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.
The safety system has switched the heated overblanket off permanently. Send the heated overblanket and the control for servicing.
