Getting to Know your Instrument

This product is intended solely for household use in relieving itching or swelling caused by insect bites or stings through the use of heat. Do not use this product for any other purpose.

Many insect bites and stings result in painful and swollen sting and bite marks which can often cause severe itching. This insect bite healer offers effective relief for insect bites and stings through a targeted application of heat. As a result, the itching subsides and your symptoms improve; it is often noted that the area heals more comfortably.

Parts and Controls

Parts and Controls

  1. Battery Compartment Cover
  2. Power Switch
  3. Heating Plate
  4. Ring Light
  5. Activation Button
  6. Status LED

To Set Up

  1. Slide the Battery Compartment open and insert two "AAA" size alkaline batteries (included) into the Battery Compartment in accordance with the polarity markings inside the compartment. Reattach the Battery Compartment Cover by sliding it closed until it clicks into place.
  2. Before beginning the treatment, make sure the device is clean, dry, and intact.

To Use

Make sure the insect's stinger is no longer lodged in the skin. If needed, remove the stinger carefully. Using this device immediately after the insect bite/sting yields the best results. Waiting too long to treat the bite/sting will enable itching and swelling to start and the insect bite healer will only have a limited effect. Even if treatment cannot begin right away, do so as soon as possible, as this will usually still alleviate some itching and speed up the healing process.

Depending on the treated person's skin sensitivity, the heat from the device may feel unpleasant and cause slight skin redness and, in rare cases, irritated skin. If the heat function feels too hot, stop treatment immediately.

  1. Slide the Power Switch to the "I" (On) position. The Status LED will illuminate in blue, which indicates the device is ready to use.
  2. Place the Heating Plate of the device directly onto the area that has been stung or bitten. Two application durations are available, depending on the skin sensitivity of the person being treated:
  • 3-second treatment: for the first use or for use on sensitive skin. Press and release the Activation Button once. Half of the Ring Light will illuminate and the treatment will start.
  • 6-second treatment: for regular use on normal skin. Press and release the Activation Button twice quickly. The Ring Light will illuminate fully and the treatment will start.

information To shut the device off at any time, press and hold the Activation Button for about two seconds. In order to use the device again, slide the Power Switch to the "O" (Off) position and then to the "I" (On) position to switch the device back on.

  1. After the selected treatment duration, the device will beep and the Heating Plate and Ring Light will shut off. Remove the Heating Plate from the skin.
  2. If needed, you can reapply the heat function of the insect bite healer to the same sting or bite after a 2-minute break, or you can immediately use it on another sting or bite in a different area. However, please ensure that you do not exceed a maximum of 5 applications per hour on the same treatment area.
  3. To shut the device off, slide the Power Switch to the "O" (Off) position.

information If the device is accidentally left in the "I" (On) position and to prevent unintentional activation while inside a pocket or purse, the device will automatically switch off 2 minutes after use. In order to use the device again, slide the Power Switch to the "O" (Off) position and then to the "I" (On) position to switch the device back on.
