7. Application In order to measure the correct coating thickness, it is necessary to perform foil calibration to the characteristics of the material, shape, etc. of the object to be measured. The device has a calibration function (substrate calibration, foil calibration), and the results can be saved as an application on the probe.

② Foil calibration Foil calibration is always required before measurement to obtain correct measurement values with the coating thickness tester. First, prepare a "substrate" that has the same material, shape and thickness as the object to be measured, and to which no coating such as plating or painting is applied.

■ Caution of measurement ● Temperature Variation The measurement values of the device may vary depending on the ambient temperature and the temperature of the object to be measured. If the temperature environment differs from that at the time of substrate calibration or foil calibration, the measurement accuracy may deviate from the specifications.
11. Troubleshooting If any of the following symptom is observed, follow the respective procedures to check and take appropriate action.
