- Page 5 Sicherheitshinweise Gefahrloses Arbeiten mit dem Gerät ist nur möglich, wenn Sie die Bedienungsanleitung vollständig lesen und die darin enthaltenen Anweisungen strikt befolgen. Zusätzlich müssen die allgemeinen Sicherheitshinweise im beigelegten Heft befolgt werden. Lassen Sie sich vor dem ersten Gebrauch praktisch einweisen. Wird bei der Arbeit die Anschlussleitung beschädigt oder durchtrennt, diese nicht berühren, sondern sofort den Netzstecker ziehen.
- Page 6 Das Gerät darf nur zweihandgeführt oder am Bohrständer eingesetzt werden. Halten Sie die Handgriffe trocken, sauber und frei von Öl und Fett. Personen unter 16 Jahren dürfen das Gerät nicht benutzen. Tragen Sie beim Arbeiten mit dieser Maschine eine Schutzbrille, Gehörschutz und Schutzhandschuhe.
- Page 7 Geräteschutz Falsche Handhabung kann zu Verletzungen des Bedieners und Schäden am Gerät führen. Deswegen die nachfolgenden Hinweise stets beachten: Die Maschine nicht soweit belasten, dass sie zum Stillstand kommt. Nur Original EIBENSTOCK -Zubehör verwenden. Ein-/ Ausschalten Momentschaltung Einschalten: Ein-Aus-Schalter drücken.

Bei jedem maschinell bedingten Stillstand oder einer Stromunterbrechung ist der Feststellknopf sofort durch Drücken Ein-Aus-Schalters lösen, unbeabsichtigtes Wideranlaufen Maschine verhindern (Verletzungsgefahr). Gangschaltung Die Maschine besitzt ein mechanisches Zweiganggetriebe. Durch Hineindrücken, Verschieben und wieder Einrasten, wählen Sie die entsprechende Drehzahl. Die langsame Drehzahl liegt in Richtung Arbeitsspindel.

ENGLISH Important Safety Instructions Important instructions and warning notices are allegorized on the machine by means of symbols: Before you start working, read the operating instructions of the machine. Work concentrated and carefully. Keep your workplace clean and avoid dangerous situations. - Page 12 Application for Indented Purpose The hand-held drilling machine EHB 20 / 2.4 is designed for professional use. Together with the appropriate drills it is used for drillings in steel, wood, plastics etc. The tool diameter of twist drills should not exceed 20 mm.
- Page 13 Safety Instructions Safe work with the machine is only possible if you read this operating instruction completely and follow the instructions contained strictly. Additionally, the general safety instructions of the leaflet supplied with the tool must be observed. Prior to the first use, the user should absolve a practical training.
- Page 14 Voltage differences of + 6 % and – 10 % are allowed. The Hand-Held Drilling Machine EHB 20 / 2.4 is made in protection class II. Only use extension cables with a sufficient cross section. A cross section which is too small could cause a considerable drop in performance and an overheating of machine and cable.

- Page 16 Attention! Only press the lock-on button when using a stand. In case of every stop of the machine, the lock-on button has to be released immediately by pressing the on/off switch. Consequently, you can avoid an unintentional restart of the machine (physical hazard).
