• Only use the auto darkening filter at temperatures between -10 °C (14 °F) and +55 °C (131
°F). If the filter is used outside this temperature range, it may not function as intended and
permanent eye injury and vision loss may occur.
• Check the battery surfaces and contacts and clean them if necessary. Make sure the battery
is in good condition and properly installed.
• The protection marked in accordance with this standard is only guaranteed if all discs and
retaining parts are installed in accordance with the list or instructions of another manufacturer.
• Eye and face protection that has been exposed to impact may no longer be used and
should be disposed of and replaced.
• The auto darkening filter must only be used in combination with the inside cover lens.
• Eyepieces with a hardened mineral filter may only be used in conjunction with a suitable
support eyepiece.
• If the symbols "F" or "B" do not apply to both the eyepiece and the frame, select the lower
level for complete eye protection.
• If the strength symbol is followed by the letter "T", you can use the eye protection for
protection against high-speed particles at extreme temperatures. If the strength symbol is
not followed by the letter "T", you should only use the eye protection for protection against
high-speed particles at room temperature.
• We recommend a maximum service life of 5 years. The actual duration depends on factors
such as use, cleaning, storage and maintenance. Regular inspections and rapid replacement
in the event of damage are strongly recommended.
• The product complies with Directive 2001/95/EC, Regulation (EU) 2016/425, in the amended
version required in the United Kingdom, Annex II.
• The user should contact the Health and Safety Officer to obtain the correct eye protection
for the respective working conditions.
