Die zweiteilige Sternalpelotte ist um ca. 20 mm breitenverstellbar. Dazu die entsprechenden Schrau-
ben lösen und nach der gewünschten Einstellung wieder sichern und fest drehen (Abb. 2).
Das Rückenteil besteht aus einer anatomisch geformten Lumbalpelotte, welche mit dem
Taillenband über ein spezielles Spannverschlusssystem mit der Rahmenkonstruktion verbunden
ist (Abb. 3).
Die zwei Verstärkungsstäbe (*) können in die Lumbalpelotte eingeklettet werden, um eine
bessere Stabilisierung in diesem Bereich zu erhalten (Abb. 4).
Zusätzlich besteht eine gelenkige Verbindung im cranial ventralen Bereich der Rahmenkonst-
ruktion, hierüber ist eine optimale Einstellung der Position der Sternalpelotte möglich. Dazu die
entsprechenden Schrauben lösen und nach der gewünschten Einstellung wieder sichern und
fest drehen (Abb. 5).
„ Passformkontrolle
Zu überprüfen sind:
• Platzierung, Passform und Druckverteilung der drei Pelotten
• Passform und Hyperextensionswirkung in der Sitzhaltung
• Richtiger Sitz des Taillenbandes
• Liegt das Produkt am gesamten Körper fest an
Nur durch Erfüllung dieser Kriterien kann eine optimale Wirkung gewährleistet werden.
„ An- und Ausziehen
Mit Hilfe des Spannverschlusses wird die individuelle Einstellung nach dem Ab- und Anlegen
weitestgehend sichergestellt (Abb. 6).
Zum Ausziehen des Produktes verwenden Sie zuerst das lose Griffstück an der rechten Seite
und haken es an der vorgesehenen Stelle ein.
Das Gurtband kann individuell beschnitten und mithilfe des Y-Klettverschlusses fi xiert werden
(Abb. 7, ähnlich).
Anschließend schließen Sie den Spannverschluss an der linken Seite. Den grünen Verschlußhe-
bel nicht drücken, da sonst der Spannverschluß nicht einrastet (Abb. 8).
Zum Ausziehen öffnen Sie zuerst den Spannverschluss auf der linken Seite des Produkts, indem
Sie den grünen Verschlußhebel aufziehen (Abb. 9).
Anschließend den Hakenverschluss auf der rechten Seite öffnen (Abb. 10).

• das Produkt ist wasserbeständig
• das Produkt mit einem feuchten Tuch und neutraler Seife reinigen
• das Polsterset mit 30 °C warmen Wasser und einem Feinwaschmittel von Hand waschen
• das Polsterset kann bei starkem Verschleiß ausgetauscht werden
Das Produkt kann bei Bedarf mit einem Oberfl ächendesinfektionsmittel gereinigt werden
(z. B. Bacillol AF von Bode, Descosept AF von Dr. Schuhmacher oder terralin protect von

„ Use
The 25R20/... and 25R25/... TLSO Hyperextension Orthosis (hereinafter referred to as „the
product") requires the qualifi ed, indication-based adjustment and appropiated use on the
individual patient by qualifi ed personnel.
The duration of use of the present medical device is determined by the attending physician.
The period of use depends on the intended use and the materials used. Please note that your
medical device is subject to natural wear and tear. Please contact your physician or orthopaedic
technician if the usability of the medical device is no longer given.
„ Intended Use
• relieving and erecting function in the area of the lumbar spine and the lower thoracic spine
by means of three-point-principle
• limits movement of the upper body rotation and lateral inclination by the frame construc-
tion
• the 3-point principle is realized by means of an anatomically shaped lumbar pad, the ventral
pelvis bar, and the sternum pad, all of which are individually adjustable to the patient

• stable traumatic vertebral fractures (L5 - TH11)
• osteoporosis

• material interactions/allergies
• do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin

„ Application
Design and Adjustment Options
„
The product is supplied ready for fi tting. It consists of a frame structure with movable sternum
pad and symphysis pad.
The height of the symphysis pad is adjustable by approx. 50 mm; the length of the sternal pad
is adjustable by approx. 40 mm.
To adjust, loosen the screws of the lateral, vertical bars and secure and retighten the screws
after desired setting (Fig. 1).
The two-part sternum pad is adjustable in width by approximately 20 mm. Loosen the appro-
priate screws and tighten and secure again after the desired setting (Fig. 2).
The back part consists of an anatomically shaped Lumbar pad, which has a waist band with a
special clamp closure system (Fig. 3).
The two reinforcing hook-and-loop-bars (*) can be fi xed into the lumbar pad to stabilise this
area (Fig. 4).
In addition, there is a jointed connection cranially in the ventral area of the frame structure,
enabling an optimal setting of the sternum pad. Loosen the appropriate screws and tighten
and secure again after the desired setting (Fig. 5).
„ Fit Control
to be reviewed:
• Placement, fi t and pressure distribution of the three pads
• Hyperextension fi t and -effect in the sitting position
• Proper location of the waist band
• Does the product have close contact on the entire body
Only by meeting these criteria, optimal function can be warranted.
„ Don and Doffi ng
The individual setting after the donning or doffi ng process is largely ensured by means of the
clamping buckle (Fig. 6).
To don the product, fi rst use the loose grip on the right side and hook it into the intended
location.
The strap can be individually cut and closed by means of the Y-hook- and loop closure
(Fig. 7, similar).
Then, close the clamp lock on the left side. Do not press the green locking lever, because
otherwise the clamp lock cannot snap in (Fig. 8).
To doff, fi rst open the clamp lock on the left side of the brace. The clamp lock opens by pulling
the green locking lever (Fig. 9).
Now open the hook closure on the right side (Fig. 10).
„ Care Instructions
• the product is water resistant
• clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap
• wash the upholstery set by hand with 30 °C warm water and a mild detergent
• the upholstery set can be replaced after strong wearout
The product can be cleaned by a suitable surface disinfection agent (e. g. Bacillol AF by
®
Bode, Descosept AF by Dr. Schuhmacher or terralin protect by Schülke).
