EN Instructions for use
„ Use
The 40R1/... and 41R1/... LumboSupport (hereinafter referred to as „the product") requires
the qualifi ed, indication-based adjustment and appropiated use on the individual patient by
qualifi ed personnel.
The duration of use of the present medical device is determined by the attending physician.
The period of use depends on the intended use and the materials used. Please note that your
medical device is subject to natural wear and tear. Please contact your physician or orthopaedic
technician if the usability of the medical device is no longer given.
„ Intended Use
• normalisation of posture by erection of the upper body
• increases the intra-abdominal pressure
• slight delordosing and pelvic erection, therefore support of the dorsal vertebral-body parts
• increased static and dynamic safety
• adjustable degree of stabilisation by removing the dorsal stabilisation element, the stabilising
elements and the belt
• the breathable, innovative functional fi bre Xtra-Dry increases the wearing comfort considerably
„ Indication
• post-operative stabilization in the lumbar spine area
• degenerative spinal disorders
• muscular insuffi ciency in the lumbar spine area
• chronic pain in the lumbar spine and iliosacral area
• ligamentoses
• hyper-lordosis of the lumbar spine
„ Contraindication
• material interactions/allergies
• do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• hernia or other abdominal disorders
• obesity

„ Application
The product must be worn on a T-shirt.
„ Design and Adjustment Options
The back section contains 4 removeable stabilizing rods. Those may need to be shaped to form
by hand (Fig. 1).
Stretch straps connect the dorsal part with the frontal part, allowing to set an uniform level of
trunk compression (Fig. 2).
For ease of donning, hand loops are integrated at the abdominal part (Fig. 3).
Fit Control
To be reviewed:
• Proper fi t in the front area at the height of the groin
• Wrinkle-free contact
• No cutting into the soft tissues
• Is the product overall fi rm and close fi tting
Only by meeting these criteria, optimal function can be warranted.
„ Don and doffi ng
The product is delivered in assembled condition.
Loose the straps of the hook and loop fastener prior to donning the product. Then put the
product around your waist. Using the integrated hand straps with a slight pull, attach both
sides of the closure equally on top of each other (Fig. 3).
The edge of the product in the front area must end up at the height of the groin area (Fig. 4).
First tighten the straps evenly balanced (Fig. 5).
Then tighten the upper straps, until an optimal fi t is achieved (Fig. 2).
When doffi ng the product, loose off the hook and loop straps fi rst, and then open the sides of
the closure. (Fig. 4).
„ Care Instructions
• remove the stabilisation rods before washing
• close the hook- and loop-fasteners before washing
• machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle
• do not chemically clean, or bleach with chlorine, or iron the product
• do not dry on a radiator
