Step 3 Suspension Installation 1. Loosen the set screws (2) in the down rod coupler until the inside tunnel is clear. 2. Remove the hairpin clip, washer and safety pin at the end of the down rod, Slide the ceiling canopy onto the down rod, followed by the down rod coupler cover.
