When using it for the first time after a long period of inactivity, make sure that the fan is clean and the motor blades are unrestricted (unit not powered).

Then add the base and rotate it to ensure that the two slots are perfectly aligned with the housing. Attention The mains cable is routed at the top of the fan base.
