  • Page 6 USAGE WARNING Connect all tubing connections before placing cannula on patient. Possible water ingress through the tubing can occur if this sequence is not followed. When adjusting the Rhythm Pediatric Flowmeter, the flowmeter on the oxygen concentrator MUST be set at 2.0 L/min. Failure to comply with this procedure will cause incorrect flow rates to the patient.
  • Page 7 INITIAL SET UP (for Use with or without Humidifier Bottle) 1. Place pediatric flowmeter stand on tabletop. 2. Turn flowmeter knob counterclockwise to the fully open position. 3. Press power switch to ON. Power light located on control panel will illuminate green, indicating that the system is functioning normally.
  • Page 8 SET UP (with humidifier bottle, if prescribed) Refer to Figure 2. 1. Connect a 7ft (2.1 m) [max length] oxygen tubing from output fitting of oxygen concentrator to input labeled “TO CONCENTRATOR” on pediatric flowmeter. 2. Follow the directions supplied by humidifier bottle manufacturer for filling and connecting to oxygen tubing.
  • Page 9 SETTING THE FLOW RATE WARNING DO NOT select a different setting unless your physician has prescribed a change in the flow rate of the Rhythm Pediatric Flowmeter. CAUTION DO NOT allow water or other substances to enter flowmeter openings. DO NOT submerge flow stand, flowmeter or tubing.
  • Page 10 MAINTENANCE CLEANING Wipe down unit with soft cloth moistened with water and mild detergent. Do not submerge the Pediatric Flowmeter in water. Do NOT spray chemical cleaners on the flowmeter. The humidifier bottle MUST be cleaned after each use of Humidifier bottle.
