14.1 Adjusting the Gain Set of a Sensor for Extended Life and Calibration

Purpose: To extend the life and maintain calibration, adjusting the Gain Set of the sensor itself may be required.
Why: The Gain Set of the 5100-02-IT sensor is factory enabled at 80. This is to allow the transmitter to work with a variety
of aged sensor elements in the field. As a sensor is powered on in the field, it may become necessary to increase the Gain
Set for a sensor to pass calibration.
Tools Required: Magnetic Wand, Access to the Transmitter
How:
1. Using the Magnetic Wand, touch M go to "Maint:" then press E.
2. Tap the Up Arrow multiple times in quick succession (approximately 7) until you get into a hidden menu.
3. Tap Up until you see "V1 Diag" then press E.
4. Tap Up until you see Gain Set, then press E.
5. Use the Up arrow to increase, then press E.
6. Factory Setting is 80, Adjust to 85-90.
7. Touch M until you see "Exit?", then press E.
8. Power Cycle the Sensor.
9. After restart, Calibrate the Sensor per Manual.
