INTRODUCTION
The 601SBD Diode Sounder Base provides an addi-
tional sounder function on conventional fire detec-
tion circuits. The 601SBD is for use in detection cir-
cuits complying with BS5839 Part 1, which requires
that if callpoints are wired after detectors on a zone
circuit, the removal of a detector will not affect the
operation of these callpoints.
The 601SBD Sounder Base operates independently
of the detector circuit and may be used without an
associated detector. When used without a detec-
tor, a cap Part No. 557.001.040.A.T.Y must be fitted
and if loop wiring is required, then the alternative
wiring method should be used.
FEATURES
The 601SBD Diode Sounder Base provides eight
tone and variable volume settings.
WIRING NOTES
The following notes apply:
a) All wiring must conform to the current edition
of IEE Wiring Regulations and BS 5839 Part 1.
b) All wiring must be free of earths.
