    Introduction This document is intended as a reference outlining the basic specifications of Advantage Voice. This document is not intended to be a step-by-step configuration guide. All calls are routed through Rogers’ private voice (SIP) network. It is important to note that both data and voice traffic can share the same network connection and bandwidth limitations where applicable.

  • Page 6 Hardware Overview Rove B1 Hardware Status Indicator 1. Handset Pairing/Handset Finding Button: Enables you to pair a handset with the base. It can also be used to locate the handset as it will cause the handset already paired to it to omit a beeping sound when held.

    Rove B1 Base Station Installation and Setup Attaching the Stand To attach the base to the stand, slide the stand along the back of the base until it locks into place. Powering the Base 1. If the topology has Power over Ethernet (PoE), plug the Ethernet Cable (A) into the port at the back of the base station and connect the other end to the PoE-enabled switch 2.

    3. Put the Rove 20 handset into charging unit so it can charge and be ready for pairing 4. On the Poly Rove B1 Base Station, press the Handset Pairing Button (located on the top of the Base Station). This will initialize the pairing process, and the LED indicator will begin to flash green.
