GUIDE
for ZAP models
Tools You Will Need:
• Drywall saw
• Stud finder
• Pencil
• Electric Drill
• Tape measure
• Phillips Drill Bit
Select an area over the doorway you want to install the ZAP.
Using your stud finder, check to see if there is a stud in the way. If

there is a stud, you will need to cut through the stud in order to
make room for the box.

Measure the width of the door, including the door trim. Find your
center horizontally. Once you locate your center point, take a level
and measure from the center to the celling and find the center
vertically.
Place the center of the template over the overall center point above
the door.

Trace around the template.

Using your drywall saw, cut along the lines, and remove the
drywall.
• Ladder
• Reciprocating
• Level or Square
