FOUNDATION RECOMMENDATIONS Ensure the foundation is capable of supporting the weight of the Aurora Sauna (450 kg) without sinking or shifting We recommend using a concrete slab or a pile foundation. The base of the sauna should not be placed directly on surfaces like soil or grass, as they can compromise the quality of the timber.

FRONT AND BACK EDGE To prevent moisture and rainwater from accumulating on the front and back edges of the sauna, we recom- mend applying a bead of silicone where the front and back panels meet the timber slats, starting halfway up the barrel and continuing around to the other side.

SAUNA STONES The use and proper care of stones are essential to enhancing your sauna experience. For optimal results, please follow these guidelines: 1. Once your electrician has wired and tested your Har- via heater to ensure it’s receiving power, turn the heat- er on without placing any stones.
  • Page 16: Oiling

OILING To ensure longevity and uphold your sauna’s warranty, it’s essential to regularly treat all external wooden surfaces (except beneath the tiles) with a UV-protectant timber oil to safeguard against the harsh Australian climate. As a natural wood product, the timber requires re-oiling every 3-6 months, depending on its location and exposure to sunlight.
  • Page 17: Cleaning And Use

CLEANING AND USE When using the sauna, it’s a good practice to place towels on both the seat and the floor beneath you. This helps maintain cleanliness and protects the timber from sweat-related damage. For cleaning, we recommend using a cloth dampened with a mild vinegar and water solution. Ad- ditionally, we strongly advise regularly removing the floor panel to clean the bottom of the barrel, as dirt and moisture can accumulate over time.
  • Page 18: Maintenance And Cleaning Schedule

MAINTENANCE The timber in your sauna has been treated to enhance its thermal performance but remains a porous, reactive material that may change visually with regular use. Exposure to heat, moisture, and the elements can cause the wood to swell or shrink, leading to small surface-level splits or gaps.
