2. Push the hooks outwards to release the extended RAM board. Then pull out the board.
Extended RAM boards can be damaged easily because they are quite thin. Handle them carefully.
Be careful not touch parts and soldering on extended RAM boards with your hands.
To pull out an extended RAM board from ShieldPRO, hold both ends of the board.
3. Put the memory slot cover in its original position and drive the screws (4) to fix the cover.
If the silicon rubber on rear of the cover is dusty or dirty, the water-proof and dust-proof qualities of the
cover may be reduced. Wipe the silicon rubber to remove dust and dirt before installing the cover.
4. Install the battery pack in ShieldPRO and connect the AC adapter to ShieldPRO.

Extended RAM Confirmation Procedure

For Windows XP:
1. Click [Start]
2. Check the data appearing at the lower right corner in the [General] tab. [***KB RAM] or
[***MB of RAM] should appear (where "***KB" or "***MB" is the total memory capacity).
3. If the memory capacity does not increase, check if the extended RAM board was installed
properly.
Depending on the system status, the value shown may be less than the actual total capacity. This does
not indicate an error.
To use a feature in hibernate state after memory extension, empty capacity is required in the HDD.
Check the capacity of the HDD.
