Remove the R-clip from the top pivot of the actuator and remove the pin from the actuator bracket lever. Replace the actuator with an identical new part.

Using a screwdriver, ease the inner coil spring of the rod upwards and insert the pivot. Slide the pivot through completely, making certain it is located correctly below the inner spring.
